I always find that I like races more than I like the actual running.
I've found another race to add to my calendar:
Run a 5K, get a nice jacket as a goody bag, receive Ghirardelli Chocolate fondue with marshmallow, banana, pretzel accoutrements post-race - sign me up!
This is first time that the Hot Chocolate race will be in Phoenix, so it's bound to have a few technical difficulties. As I perused online for more information on it, I found many blog entries alluding to the Washington D.C. event as an epic fail. That is pretty harsh in the racing world. The complaints there were that the organizers registered far too many runners for the race capacity and the course was only one lane on some pretty busy streets, leaving runners to race on the sidewalks.
All I can say is that, I hope race organizers have learned from their mistakes, because I want chocolate :-)
