New Years Run

New Year's Eve with my husband.

My hubby and I had a fantastic time ringing in the New Year last night.  We made it home by 1AM and climbed woozily into bed.  This morning, I slept in until 9AM.  I thought it would be a lazy morning.  Dragging my feet, I tread downstairs to feed the cats and turned on my iPad to catch up on a few blogs.  Two of my favorites are Dream BIG Runner and Tall Mom on the Run.  Reading about others running was enough to get me out the door.

I ran 3.1 miles at an 11:56 pace - definitely not setting any records.  However, I remember training for my first marathon and how slow I was starting out.  I know that all it takes is consistency - getting out there 3 to 4 times a week - to improve.  By golly (when do I ever get to use that word?), here goes!
