We have this tree outside our bedroom window. It has been a haven for pigeons and other noisy birds. The year it reached record lows in Phoenix, the tree froze and almost died. We cut all the dead growth off and the tree looked pretty pathetic for a while. We thought the birds had gone away.
Well, the tree is back. As Josh says, "it has it's very own ecosystem." Every morning at sunrise and evening at sunset, the birds congregrate to sing their love songs to each other (and the rest of the neighborhood.) Josh and I slept in this morning until 7.
When we finally woke up, I asked him, "Did you hear the birds this morning at 6:30?'
"Yep, I thought I was in the savannah."
